The new location for Run with the Big Dogs will be: 

Centennial Park!

Parking, registration and entrance will be in the parking lot of the Pocatello Community Charter School - 

995 S Arthur Ave, Pocatello, ID 83204
 

This will allow participants to travel along the Greenway trails running along the river, decreasing congestion and conflict with cyclists and general road traffic.

Run with the Big Dogs is a 2k or 5k dog-friendly walk/run. 

Participants may walk/run with or without a dog or in memory of a beloved pet. We've even seen someone with a cat in a baby carrier!

Register  by April 3rd to receive a t-shirt and a "doggy bag" full of freebies. There will be a raffle at 12:30 p.m., those registered must be present to win.

The day includes vendors, a silent auction conducted online with delivery to winners, splash pools for dogs and refreshments for both humans and dogs.

​

All proceeds from ticket sales and business sponsorships will be used solely for the purpose of supporting animals temporarily housed at the Pocatello Animal Shelter by providing quality of life improvements, facility upgrades, and adoption discounts to help them with safe and comfortable transition to a new home!

RWTBD began in 1997 as a way to raise funds to help the Pocatello Animal Shelter get a much needed new building. In February 2015, with the help of the citizens of Pocatello, that goal was met. However, all involved in RWTBD had so much fun and raised so many funds for needed improvements to support animals at the shelter that we decided to continue to hold the event annually!

 

All funds raised by the event are used for those that are housed at the Pocatello Animal Shelter which directly benefit through programs such as the Second Chance Fund, Pocatello Pets 4 Vets, and Katie's Old Friends.
